New Holland Construction appoint new Scottish dealer
Kinross-based George Colliar Ltd to provide sales, service and equipment hire in eastern and central Scotland
NEW Holland Construction have appointed George Colliar Ltd as their new dealer covering eastern and central Scotland.
Operating out of a full service facility in Kinross, George Colliar Ltd will bring to customers the benefits of their 40 years’ experience in the industry.
The dealership will support New Holland Construction customers with a full offering of products and services, including equipment hire through its established hire company.
Commenting on the new appointment, Scott Freeman, business director of New Holland Construction, said: ‘We are very pleased to welcome George Colliar Ltd into our network.
‘They have a well-established sales force, which is extremely experienced with all aspects of the business and will be able to give our customers the purchasing or hire advice that will best fit their business requirements.
‘The dealership also has the infrastructure and experienced service team needed to provide the best technical support to our customers throughout their territory.’
Meanwhile, following its successful launch in Italy in April, the New Holland Energy Saving Grand Prix 2011 reached the UK this summer, with heats taking place in Oxford on 21–22 July and Leeds on 28–29 July.
Both events followed a similar format, with a stationary product display, an area set up for visitors to test drive some of the new models, and the popular Grand Prix competition, in which participants test their skills against the clock.
The focus of this year’s Grand Prix is on productivity and fuel efficiency, as showcased by the products on display, including: the W190C wheel loader, which features New Holland’s Tier 4 interim SCR technology and a range of features to boost performance with bigger payloads, faster cycle times and reduced fuel consumption; and the E265C crawler excavator, which features a new high-efficiency hydraulic system and SCR technology to deliver up to 10% increased productivity and up to 10% lower fuel consumption in ECO mode.
‘The Grand Prix events are a great platform to showcase our latest technologies and features, commented Mr Freeman. ‘They also provide our customers with the opportunity to find out about the benefits of these developments by speaking to our demonstrators and test driving the new models.’
The New Holland Energy Saving Grand Prix final will take place in Turin, Italy, on 7–8 October 2011.
