New CEO for The Concrete Society

Claire Ackerman to succeed Kathy Calverley, who will step down as managing director after AGM

CLAIRE Ackerman, currently executive director - concrete with the Mineral Products Association (MPA), including The Concrete Centre and UK Concrete, will be The Concrete Society’s new chief executive officer.

A member of The Society’s Council, Ms Ackerman will succeed Kathy Calverley, who has been managing director since 2011.

Ms Calverley has worked in the cement and concrete industry for more than 40 years and was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in 2018 for services to the construction industry.

She will step down after The Concrete Society’s AGM and Claire Ackerman will begin her new role on 1 July 2024.
