New appointment at Terex Construction

Compact construction equipment manufacturer appoints Eric Kuimjian as engineering director

AS part of their continued drive to bring the latest technology and user performance to compact construction equipment worldwide, Coventry-based Terex Construction have announced the appointment of a new engineering director.

Eric Kuimjian brings more than 20 years’ experience to Terex and will play a key part in further expanding the Coventry facility’s range of backhoe loaders, site dumpers and construction rollers.

As well as bringing the latest technologies to the Terex equipment portfolio, Mr Kuimjian will also be responsible for introducing the latest energy-efficient engines and low-carbon technologies, as part of the company’s global emissions-reduction programme.

‘I’m delighted to welcome Eric Kuimjian to the Terex Construction team,’ commented Neal Nowick, general manager at Terex Construction.

‘With rich experience in the sector and considerable equipment knowledge built over many years developing specialist construction technologies, we’re confident that he will make a positive impact on the products we offer to our customers worldwide.’

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Kuimjian said: ‘With continued investment in their range of compact construction equipment, Terex are going from strength to strength. The portfolio is recognized around the world for delivering strong returns and performance. Joining the team at this time is really exciting and offers a chance to develop the range and the engineering team to keep pace with the challenges and opportunities ahead.

‘My key priorities in the first few months will be to drive innovation throughout the Terex range; bringing next-generation solutions and user-friendly equipment to hire firms, owner-operators and construction companies worldwide. Going forward, I plan to look at ways to enhance performance and user experience whilst ensuring that our entire range meets global emissions requirements.’

Terex Construction’s latest appointment comes as part of continued recent successes. Earlier this year the company announced a new contract to supply 400 Terex site dumpers to leading hire specialists GAP Group, as well as the creation of 50 new engineering jobs at its factory site in Prologis Park.
