New appointment at Poundfield Precast

Industry veteran Mike Hudson joins as business development manager to support company’s expansion

MIKE Hudson, who is well known throughout the industry having spent his whole career managing and developing concrete and aggregate businesses both in the UK and Europe, has recently joined Poundfield Precast, part of the SigmaRoc Group, as business development manager.

Mr Hudson (pictured) will be responsible for supporting the expansion of Poundfield Precast into existing and new markets with a focus on developing the company’s already strong position in the coastal sea-defence market sector, an area in which it has considerable experience.

Following the opening of two new production locations in the North West and South Wales, Mr Hudson will also help develop these facilities to achieve Poundfield’s ambition to get closer to their customers by offering a comprehensive nationwide coverage serviced from three sites within the UK.

Tim Capey, general manager of Poundfield Precast, said: ‘We are delighted to have Mike on board at a time when the business is going through a period of rapid expansion. His experience will be invaluable to us in identifying and developing new product opportunities across our three operating divisions of beam and block flooring, retaining walls and bespoke precast.’
