New appointment at Long Rake Spar

Shane McCormick appointed as new national sales manager for Natural Selection brand

DECORATIVE aggregate suppliers Long Rake Spar have appointed Shane McCormick as national sales manager for their Natural Selection brand. Prior to this recent appointment, Mr McCormick worked in the landscape industry for more than 20 years, his wealth of experience and expertise seeing him hold senior roles at Marshalls, Namgrass, and Talasey.

Trevor Broadhurst, owner and managing director of Long Rake Spar, said: ‘We are pleased to have Shane on board to share his industry knowledge with the team and to continue to drive this sector of the business forward. This is the biggest part of the business for Long Rake Spar and with Shane’s good connections and vast industry knowledge, he is well equipped to take advantage of all future opportunities.’

Established in 1867, Long Rake Spar are based in Youlgrave, Derbyshire, with a further four dockside sites and four processing facilities at various locations around the UK. The company produces around 750,000 tonnes of finished product per annum and is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
