More new Cats for Danaher & Walsh
Plant hire firm strengthens its machinery fleet with purchase of 15 new Caterpillar excavators
DANAHER & Walsh have acquired 15 new Cat machines from Finning, expanding their current fleet offering to customers. The latest machines – which consist of 10 Cat 312E and five 320EL hydraulic excavators – will give Danaher & Walsh’s customers the opportunity to benefit from machines that boast lower emissions and a better fuel economy than their predecessors. The deal also includes the option to purchase a further 10 machines later in the year.
Commenting on the deal, Dan Danaher (right), managing director of Danaher & Walsh, said: ‘The Cat machines we already have on our fleet have always been popular with our customers. When we looked to purchase additional equipment, we analyzed the performance and feedback from customers using Cat machines and saw it made great business sense to invest in more units.
‘Our customers look to us to be able to give them the best equipment possible at a competitive price. We chose the Cat 312E and Cat 320EL hydraulic excavators because of the high performance and fuel savings that they offer. The machines’ lower emissions will help us achieve our target of overall carbon reduction over the next few years.’
Mr Danaher continued: ‘We were conscious of service and maintenance costs, so each machine has a full service agreement and is linked to the Finsight condition-monitoring service that Finning offer. This will reassure our customers that any problems will be dealt with quickly to minimize machine downtime.’
Finsight is a proactive analysis process, run by trained engineers, who monitor customers’ equipment to help eliminate an unpredicted failure. This is done by the monitoring of machinery data, including fuel consumption, idle, operational time and live diagnostic alerts.
Jake Wright (left), Finning territory manager, said: ‘With the plant-hire market becoming more competitive, any proposal we put forward to customers must be sustainable. The Cat 312E and Cat 320EL models are both economically efficient and allow for more material to be moved while using less fuel, delivering a huge saving for the customer and giving Danaher & Walsh an edge over competitors.
‘This, as well as the high residual value of Cat equipment, ensures the business can achieve optimum return on investment. Additionally, all of the machines will be condition monitored by the Finsight team of dedicated advisors, based in Cannock, who will continually monitor and interpret data to safeguard machine health and performance. This gives the customer the knowledge that if there is a fault with a machine, then the downtime will be minimized.’
