Mogensen Sizer for Bolivian operator
Mogensen Raw Materials Handling have recently supplied a 3m wide Mogensen Sizer, Type S3056, together with a matching vibratory spreader feeder, Type F3005C, to Bolivia’s largest producer of cement and aggregates, Coboce Irpa Irpa, based in Cochabamba. The Sizer, which was displayed at last year’s Hillhead show, and the feeder were due for delivery in December 2005.
The equipment will be working in closed circuit with a Metso Barmac B7150SE DD vertical-shaft impact crusher and will take a total feed of 259 tonnes/h of 0–30mm crushed alluvial gravel taken from a dry river bed, the duty being to extract either 79 tonnes/h of –5mm concrete sand or 64 tonnes/h of –3mm mortar sand. The customer will change the mesh combination between production runs to achieve the two different end results. In view of the need for mesh changing, a major attraction of the Sizer for the customer was the ease and rapidity with which this operation can be carried out.
Both machines are fully dust-proofed and fully lined with Arbro wear-resistant steel plate. The S3056 Sizer, Mogensen’s largest model, is driven by two counter-rotating Invicta rotary electric vibrators, Type BLz 60-105/6, each rated at 6,200W, while the feeder is fitted with two Type BLz 40-27/6 vibrators, each rated at 1,800W.
