MOBA launch new entry-level compaction controller
Latest MCA-500 control system designed to enhance the productivity of rollers
MOBA, one of the UK’s leading providers of machine control systems for the waste logistics and construction industries, have launched their new MCA-500 machine control system for compactors.
The controller can be used for both earthworks and road construction in which progress is shown in real-time on the display, so that the operator can see key information during the compaction process, such as the ICV (intelligent compaction value) and vibration frequency, to avoid over- and under-compaction.
Exact compaction is one of the most critical factors in achieving a high-quality, long-lasting road and to deliver the best results, this requires the monitoring and control of passes. The system also uses an infrared sensor to detect the asphalt temperature, thereby ensuring compaction in the optimum temperature range.
‘The MCA-500 controller is the construction industry’s first entry system in intelligent compaction’, said Ian Lewis, managing director of MOBA UK. ‘Our customers are always asking us how we can help them improve the productivity of their rollers as well as the quality of the finished surface. Now, with the help of the MCA-500 this can be easily achieved without higher investment costs. And because the MCA-500 can be installed on any roller, customers can easily and economically upgrade their existing fleet.’
