Metso Outotec introduce new Nordtrack machines
Nordtrack range expanded with addition of mobile screen and impact crusher for construction customers
METSO Outotec have added two new products to their Nordtrack mobile crushing and screening range – the S2.5 mobile screen and the I908 mobile impact crusher.
The Nordtrack S2.5 mobile screen (pictured) is a small-size, versatile scalping screen designed for small job sites and a variety of applications. It features a compact and lightweight structure, a highly efficient two-deck screen, and a wide selection of different screening media. Capable of handling up to 450 tonnes/h, the S2.5 weighs 23 tonnes and has transport dimensions of 2.5m (w), 3.2m (h) and 13.0m (l).
Powered by a Tier 4F/Stage V Cat C4.4 98kW (131hp) engine, the Nordtrack S2.5 is equipped with a 6.0 cubic metre hopper and belt feeder as standard (optional apron feeder), a 3,660mm x 1,370mm (12ft x 4ft 6in) top deck and 3,460mm x 1,370mm (11ft 4in x 4ft 6in) bottom deck, 800mm wide fines and mid-fraction conveyors and a 1,200mm wide oversize conveyor.
The Nordtrack I908 mobile impact crusher, which has been designed for smaller-sized job sites, accepts various feed materials – from asphalt and concrete recycling to traditional rock crushing. Capable of handling feed sizes up to 600mm x 500mm x 500mm, the I908 weighs 23.6 tonnes and has transport dimensions of 2.5m (w), 3.0m (h) and 9.3m (l).
Powered by a Volvo D8 188kW (252hp) engine, the Nordtrack I908 is equipped with a 2.8 cubic metre hopper with multiple bar options, an impact crusher with an 860mm x 650mm feed opening, a 900mm wide product conveyor (plus optional 500mm side conveyor), and an integral magnetic separator.
The same base model with an integrated screen, the Nordtrack I908S, was introduced earlier and has been one of the best-selling Nordtrack units to date, especially in Europe.
‘I’m very pleased to say that the Nordtrack range has been extremely well received by our customers. It has proven to be a flexible solution that meets different requirements,’ said Vesa Tuloisela, head of the Nordtrack product offering at Metso Outotec.
‘Nordtrack sales have been developing very well despite the pandemic; in fact, we have exceeded sales targets in some areas. However, we are always listening carefully to customer feedback.
‘These two new products represent a concrete outcome of those discussions. We want to grow our recycling customer base, offer attractive solutions for the rental business and for construction contractors globally.’
