Marshalls executive to leave board

Chief operating officer David Sarti to retire from the board of directors at the end of 2014

MARSHALLS plc, the specialist landscape products group, have announced that chief operating officer David Sarti will retire from the board on 31 December 2014.

Mr Sarti joined Marshalls in March 2001 and was appointed to the board in January 2004.

Commenting on behalf of the board, chief executive Martyn Coffey said: ‘David’s contribution to the company, particularly through the challenging market conditions prevailing in recent years, has been invaluable.

‘I am pleased that he will remain with us as a director until the end of the next financial year with a mandate to focus on specific performance improvement initiatives.

‘Other members of the current management team will assume the balance of operational responsibilities, reporting to me,’ said Mr Coffey.
