Magna MA08 tyres impress at quarry in Finland
Finnish hard rock quarry customer pleased with tyre wear resistance, drivability and stability
ACCORDING to Magna Tyres, one of their hard rock quarry customers in Finland is very pleased with the ‘impressive performance’ of the tyre manufacturer’s 29.5R25 Magna MA08 tyres.
Two years ago, the Magna MA08 tyres were mounted on a Caterpillar 980H wheel loader equipped with a 13,000kg capacity bucket, which carries out the demanding role feeding a crusher with rock from the quarry.
Today, after some 12,000 operating hours, the tyres are reportedly still looking good with durability estimated at around 17,000 working hours.
The customer is said to be very satisfied with the level of wear resistance, drivability and stability provided by the Magna tyres.
The Magna MA08 tyre is designed for use on wheel loaders, dozers and graders that require maximum traction. The tyre’s optimized, square-shouldered design provides stability and protection from cuts, whilst the aggressive, open-tread pattern provides extra traction and stable ground contact.
