Lokotrack LT105 sales break new record
Metso Minerals have sold their 650th Lokotrack LT105 mobile crushing plant, which, they claim, makes it the world’s best-selling mobile crushing plant in its weight class. Total production of Lokotrack machines now exceeds 3,500 units.
Manufactured at the company’s Tampere plant in Finland, Metso Minerals say the Lokotrack LT105 has gained worldwide popularity thanks to its compact design (the machine weighs 37.3 tonnes) and ability to process up to 400 tonnes/h.
The milestone 650th unit has been purchased by Greek contractors Aim. Kyriakides ABETE, who will use the LT105 in contract crushing and quarrying applications in conjunction with an LT1213 impactor plant.
‘The Lokotrack LT105 is built around the proven and market-leading Nordberg C-series jaw crusher,’ said Jouni Hulttinen, product manager for Metso Minerals’ compact-sized primary Lokotracks. ‘The LT105 also brought to the marketplace for the first time our intelligent control system, which is simple for the operator and maintains steady, high-level production.
‘This unit has proven itself to be a reliable machine for demanding crushing contracts that require high capacity, easy transport and minimal set-up times. According to the application, LT105 can be equipped with many optional items including a dust-suppression system and magnetic separator. We have also engineered a sister model – the LT105S – which is equipped with a detachable screen.’
The C105 jaw crusher’s large intake opening (1,060mm x 700mm) together with a large feed hopper (6m3 or 9m3) allows easy feeding of the unit. When necessary, fines can be separated using a side conveyor ahead of the crusher.
Powered by a 224kW Caterpillar diesel engine, the LT105 meets the strictest Tier III exhaust emission standards, while its compact transport dimensions (length 14.2m, width 2.8m, height 3.4m) allow the crusher to be transported easily from site to site.
