Lift off for National Tracked Dumper Hire
P Flannery Plant Hire and Land & Water join forces to launch new slewing tracked dumper hire business
P FLANNERY Plant Hire (Oval) Ltd and specialist plant hirers Land & Water Plant Ltd have teamed up to create a new UK joint-venture business focusing on the rental of tracked dumpers, which launches today (Monday 22 June).
National Tracked Dumper Hire (NTD), who have recently taken delivery of nine Morooka slewing tracked dumpers, bringing their fleet to 40 units with a total investment in 2015 of £4 million, say they offer the latest, safest and most environmentally considerate fleet of tracked dumpers available in the country.
Both organizations behind the businesses say they recognized an opportunity whereby their pooled resources and skills could offer a fresh approach to the rental of tracked dumpers in the UK. In particular, having identified a need for slewing tracked dumpers, NTD’s senior team met with Cautrac, the UK dealers for Morooka tracked dumpers, and together with them visited Morooka in Japan to help influence the introduction of a brand new slewing model.
During the visit, NTD were confident enough to place an order for nine units for delivery in the first half of 2015, a move which helped give Morooka the confidence to develop the new product. The resulting MST 2200 VDR model (pictured) generated much interest during its official launch at Intermat earlier this year.
NTD say they aim to be more environmentally sensitive than their competitors – offering the latest engines with the lowest emissions, using biodegradable hydraulic oils as standard,
and offering fully rotating or slewing skip bodies across the fleet.
It is also NTD’s intention to offer safer machines than those of their competitors, by exceeding both the manufacturers and current legislative conformity, including the incorporation of features such as: hydraulic isolation via a ‘dead man’s’ isolating device; a lap belt that will not allow the machine to move if the operator has not fastened the seatbelt (visible externally by a flashing green beacon); 360° or reversing cameras and side mirrors where appropriate; and fully rotating or slewing machines that prevent the need for reversing and turning.
With six national depots and more than 20 service engineers, NDT say they have a genuine ability to provide the best product support to customers throughout the UK.
