Liebherr to highlight product innovations and digitalization
Company to showcase alternative power solutions and more than 10 machines at steinexpo 2023
LIEBHERR have announced that they will be showcasing no less than 10 new and existing machines from their earthmoving and mining product segments at this year’s steinexpo exhibition (23–26 August) held in Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden, Germany.
The company will also be giving steinexpo visitors an insight into its innovative solutions and technologies, including alternative drives and the latest developments in the field of digitalization.
Machines on display and demonstration will include: the powerful and all-terrain TA 230 Litronic articulated dumptruck; the new R 992 and R 978 SME crawler excavators; the mid-range L 546 and heavy-duty L 586 Xpower wheel loaders; and the upgraded PR 756 and PR 726 dozers, which now feature modern assistance systems for more power and improved safety.
As the construction and quarrying sectors steps up the pace on the road to net zero, Liebherr will provide an outlook on various drive concepts at steinexpo 2023, ranging from the conventional combustion engine to electric and hydrogen-based drives.
The company will also present its work on alternative drive technologies for the mineral extraction sector, including its first hydrogen combustion engine – the H966. Following field trials conducted by Liebherr, the results achieved using this technology show the great future potential of hydrogen-based drives, especially for off-road applications.
Moreover, Liebherr, alongside Maximator Hydrogen GmbH, will be presenting an innovative solution for the mobile refuelling of construction machinery with gaseous hydrogen.
