Lafarge sell cement operations in Honduras

Majority share in Lafarge Cementos SA de CV sold to Cementos Argos for €232 million

LAFARGE have announced the sale of their cement operations in Honduras, Central America, to Cementos Argos for €232 million, subject to relevant regulatory approvals.

The transaction is based on an enterprise value for the Lafarge Cementos business, in which Lafarge hold a 53.3% share, of €435 million, which represents a 2012 EBITDA multiple of 8.6.

The sold assets comprise an integrated cement plant with a capacity of 1 million tons and a grinding station with a capacity of 0.3 million tons.
