JCB to show mighty and mini products at Hillhead

JCB 457 wheel loader

UK debut for heavyline and compact ranges of earthmoving equipment

At Hillhead 2012, JCB will show their range of products for the quarrying and aggregates industries - including UK debuts for models from their heavyline and compact ranges.

JCB 457 WLS

Replacing the 456 at the top of the JCB wheel loader range, the new 457 model will be equipped with a Stage IIIB (Tier 4 Interim) compliant engine offering increased power and torque and reduced fuel consumption. Improved transmission options, upgraded axles and robust styling combine with a revised interior to provide a faster, more productive machine.

New tracked excavators

All of JCB’s tracked excavators have been significantly enhanced with a new cab, improved styling and major efficiency increases across the range. JCB’s Hillhead line-up will include the new JS360, JS260 and JS220 models, which each receive these upgrades.

Thanks to the incorporation of advanced hydraulic technology, with optimized pump settings, revised spool configuration and the introduction of a revised electronic control system, fuel efficiency improves by 11% on the JS220 and by 8% on the JS260 and JS360.

The JS260 and JS330 are also two of the first JS models to move up to Stage IIIB (Tier 4 Interim) compliance - achieved using Isuzu engines and by incorporating a variable geometry turbocharger, exhaust gas recirculation and a diesel particulate filter.

New styling gives the JCB JS excavator range an even more rugged appearance while the brand new cab has been developed in response to customer feedback to give increased visibility, comfort and protection – with ROPS and FOPS protection available on every model.

8026 CTS mini excavator

At the opposite end of the JCB excavator line-up, the 2.7-tonne JCB 8026 CTS offers customers compact design and increased digging capacity. The machine uses a dedicated boom and dipper arm, offering greater digging and lifting performance than competitive models. Increased efficiency allows the 8026 CTS to use the same engine family as the 8025 ZTS, with a similar torque output, but with a lower power rating, providing a 14% efficiency gain.

New-generation skid steers

JCB will also show one of their latest new-generation skid-steer loader models that use a radial lift version of the JCB Powerboom single-sided lift arm, providing maximum digging capability and reach.

In addition to best-in-class fuel efficiency, a 46% larger, tilting cab brings multiple benefits. These include: a full height side door for maximum operator safety, industry-leading serviceability and 60% better visibility than competitors.
