J. White & Co (TDE) invest in McCloskey screen

South Yorkshire contractor purchases new McCloskey R105 finer screen from APR

J. WHITE & Co. (TDE) Ltd have taken delivery of a new McCloskey R105 finger screen from UK distributors Aggregate, Processing and Recycling (APR). This is the second screen of its type that the company has invested in, as the screen is considered to be a cost-effective and reliable item of processing equipment.

Rotherham-based TDE offer a diverse range of services, including bulk excavation and removal of materials from working sites to landfill areas. As well as operating its own fleet of trucks, the company also supplies materials such as topsoil and subsoil.

The new R105 finger screen is being utilized to separate mainly spoil and rubble, including topsoil screening. It has the capability to process around 500 tonnes of recycled material a day, depending on whether the material is wet or dry. The machine will also be used as part of TDE’s hire fleet for work on contracts.

The heavy-duty finger screen incorporates all the well-known features of the R-range, including high-quality components, durability and reliability. Weighing 23,000kg, the R105 is said to be one of the most robust and durable machines on the market, offering the highest stockpile and largest screening area in its class, and meeting the latest European transport regulation regarding width.

Jason White, managing director of TDE, said: ‘We chose a McCloskey machine because they are recommended within our industry and are considered very reliable performers. Backed by a professional parts and service package supplied by APR, we feel very comfortable that the machine will be a cost-effective workhorse for our company.’
