ISO 45001 compliance for Eurovia UK and Ringway Jacobs

Eurovia UK and Ringway Jacobs among first businesses to achieve conformity to new safety standard

EUROVIA UK and Ringway Jacobs, their joint-venture company, have become one of the first businesses to successfully achieve conformity to ISO 45001 – the new international standard for occupational health and safety management best practice.

The highways maintenance and construction companies were among the first to demonstrate conformity to the new ISO 45001 standard on its first day of publication – 12 March 2018.

The new ISO 45001 will replace OSHAS 18001 and future audits will be conducted to the new standard.

Eurovia UK’s ISO 45001 audit was carried out across six divisions within the group covering term service maintenance, contracting and surfacing, while Ringway Jacobs’ audit was carried out across their five contracts. Each was assessed on the changes between OSHAS 18001 and the new ISO 45001.
