Honeywell launch DeepBlue Winter gloves

DeepBlue winter gloves

New gloves designed to keep workers hands safe and warm in industrial applications

HONEYWELL have introduced DeepBlue Winter gloves offering excellent thermal and grip performance. Well suited for industries such as utilities, construction, rail and transport, DeepBlue Winter gloves keep hands warm, dry and comfortable, and allow workers to grip oily and wet components in cold environments.

‘The performance and lifespan of traditional leather gloves is limited so our customers asked us to create a new general-handling glove with enhanced features and benefits,’ said Peggy Mandozi, product manager with Honeywell Safety Products EMEAI.

‘They particularly wanted a glove that was not only lightweight, breathable and flexible, but also provided excellent grip and thermal performance in wet and cold environments. The result is DeepBlue Winter, a fully dipped nitrile foam-coated glove with a polar fleece lining that keeps hands dry and warm in temperatures down to –20°C.’

With the highest abrasion resistance score of 4 under the EN388 standard for gloves protecting against mechanical hazards, the nitrile foam coating improves dexterity and provides the gloves with excellent grip in wet and oily environments. The lifespan of the glove is also longer than traditional leather gloves as DeepBlue Winter can be washed regularly at 40°C without affecting performance.
