Hitachi set new standard
Silverteam, Hitachi’s drives and automation company in the UK, have introduced their new SJ700 variable speed drive which, they claim, represents a major step change in state-of-the-art inverter technology by being the first off-the-shelf unit with integral easy sequence programmable functionality (EzSQ) as standard.
The sensorless vector drive also incorporates brand new patented power-switching technology to reduce dVdT, with the IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor) positioned in the centre of the drive.
Other features of the SJ700 include brake transistors to 22kW, integral EMI/RFI filters from 0.75kW to 400kW, active frequency matching for restarting and flying load catching, intelligent energy saving and a customizable display panel.
Hitachi have designed the SJ700 with 150% torque at zero speed, together with improved auto-tuning for quick and easy set-up.
