Hillhead space sales buoyant in January
Despite the widespread disruption caused by the snow and ice, Hillhead 2010 recorded its best month for sales of stand space to new exhibitors during January when 24 companies signed up to attend the UK event for the extractive and construction industries.
Commenting on the situation, the show’s commercial manager, Richard Bradbury, said: ‘After the holiday shutdown we hadn’t expected January to be such a busy month, but with the postponement of SED 2010 and a general recognition that the UK economy is starting to emerge from recession, bookings have been coming in thick and fast and the total number of exhibitors now stands at 365.’
