High-output crushing from Tesab

Continuing the development of their well known impactor range and building upon the performance and simplicity of their 623 model, which they continue to offer, Northern Ireland-based Tesab Engineering have now developed the larger-capacity 1412T track-mounted impactor – a machine that can be used as a stand-alone unit or integrated into a modern, high-output crushing and screening plant fed directly from the primary crushing stage.

Suitable for both aggregate or sticky applications, such as coal or chalk, the 1412T is fitted with a rear-mounted, shovel-fed loading hopper and a 1,200mm wide ‘Grade X’ feed belt with the option of metal detection to protect the crusher. The crusher itself has a 1,000mm x 550mm feed opening and is equipped with a four-hammer, 1,200mm diameter rotor. Both the apron and the bar carrier are hydraulically adjustable.

Tesab provide users with the option of a ‘standard’ 300hp Caterpillar C9 powerpack or the larger 440hp ‘contractor’ C13 version, which increases output to more than 275 tonnes/h. Both versions feature direct V-belt drive to the crusher via a hydraulically operated clutch.

The 1,000mm wide discharge conveyor has a discharge height of 3.45m and is driven through a torque hub for maximum efficiency. Tesab have also recently added an additional conveyor to the system to allow for integrated closed-circuit operation with practically any modern screening plant, thereby eliminating the need to stockpile unwanted products pending further processing.

In addition to the 1412T, the Tesab range now includes two tracked jaw crushers: the 10570 model, which has a jaw size of 1,100mm x 700mm and is distinctive for its twin-feeder design with double-deck screening to push production to in excess of 300 tonnes/h; and the 10580 model, which is principally designed for hard rock applications using its combination of extra-long jaws and unique nip angle.

With these recent additions to the range, Tesab say they are now able to offer a complete crushing solution from primary through to tertiary applications.
