Heros Recycling choose Hazemag
A Hazemag AP-PH 1010 impact crusher has been installed at Heros Sluiskil BV’s Sluiskil, Netherlands plant to crush slag from municipal solid waste incinerators (MSWI’s).
Efficient crushing of the slag is able to free valuable metal inclusions from other combusted materials, allowing effective separation. As a result, 100% of the metal content can be recovered for recycling and other residue can be utilized for the manufacture of products for the building and construction industries.
Initially, to collect information and gain experience with the project, Heros employed a used Hazemag crusher. The results with the older-type crusher were excellent, however, the machine was showing signs of wear and so, following detailed discussions with Hazemag engineers and a visit to a Hazemag reference plant, Heros placed an order for the supply of a new Hazemag crusher from the Dülmen, Germany works.
The new machine is equipped with hydraulically-supported impact aprons, which can immediately retract on entry of non-crushable items such as tramp metal. The hydraulic control system provides a further advantage in that the gap setting between the blow bars and impact aprons, which determines the overall product granulometry, can be re-adjusted whilst the machine is in operation.
In contrast to previous models, the latest machine is equipped with a new labour-saving blow-bar retention system, so that changing blow bars is quicker and much simpler.
