Haver & Boecker introduce new screen
German screen specialist develops latest Niagara T-Class screening concept
HAVER & Boecker have launched the Haver Niagara T-Class screening unit, which features a newly designed drive system that accommodates more amplitude/rotary speed combinations. The machine is also equipped with a wear-protection system that reduces the replacement time of worn parts which, in turn, minimizes downtime.
The company recently delivered a three-and-a-half deck screen (3m x 7.7m), a D180 model, to Hazemag, in Dulmen, for separating 450 tonnes of limestone per hour at 25/15/8 and 4mm.
To achieve the throughput and cut sizes required by the customer, the Niagara T-Class screen is equipped with two bearings and a 75kW drive unit. It is also easy to access and maintain, as the screen deck is capaciously dimensioned.
As with all Haver Screening Group’s units, the screening machine features a traverse design. The deck structure is clamped on to the frame with a patented retaining bracket without weld seams, while the brackets form the mounting area for the screen panel. Through the positioning of the brackets, spacing of the longitudinal supports can be varied.
Due to the bracket shapes with horizontal and vertical mounting areas, the concept can be applied equally well to modular and side- or end-tension screen media. At the same time, these brackets support the newly developed wear-protection system of modular structure.
