Fuller Grab Hire invest in Hyva and Thompsons combination
Titan hookloader and Wastemaster demountable body prove the ideal solution for waste-management firm
SURREY-based Fuller Grab Hire have taken delivery of a new bespoke truck that combines the use of the latest Hyva Titan hookloader and Thompson’s low-side demountable Wastemaster body.
Each product is said to offer the lowest weight and highest performance in their class, and bringing them together into a single vehicle has resulted in exceptional operational advantages for Fuller.
‘We wanted a truck that could simply do more so we specified it with particular care,’ said company owner Matt Fuller. ‘Hyva’s Titan hookloader stood out from the rest as being the most modern, highly specified and easiest to operate in the market. For the body though, we wanted something as near as possible to a standard, low-sided steel tipping body.
‘We don’t often carry heavy, high-sided 40 cubic metre-capacity bins, which are of little practical use in most general tipping applications. As we’re already familiar with Thompsons premium-spec Loadmasters across our fleet, we’re delighted that the new Wastemaster body is essentially a Loadmaster for hookloaders.’
While many hookloaders are bought solely for high-volume waste disposal work, Fuller’s truck with its Wastemaster body can easily double up as a standard tipper for a variety of tasks, including muckaway, site work and aggregates delivery. The bespoke truck can also operate in other environments that a standard tipper cannot.
‘In today’s world, a small but growing fleet has to be as versatile as possible,’ said Mr Fuller. ‘The new hookloader will be instrumental in continuing our growth.’
As well as manufacturing/supplying their own bodies, Thompsons also fit Hyva hookloader and skiploader bodywork at factories in Croydon and Blackburn, to ensure new vehicle acquisition is simple and flexible for UK operators. Finished vehicles are delivered to customers fully painted, tested and ready for work.
