French connection

The first Bell B40B articulated dumptruck to enter the French market has been purchased by quarrying and earthmoving firm Dumont TP. Before the transaction was concluded the machine was put through a demanding competitive test in which it was benchmarked against three leading international makes of articulated dumptrucks.

According to Dumont TP, the B40B acquitted itself well, recording faster cycle times and more economic fuel consumption, while its cab ergonomics also gained the approval of its operator. Since it was purchased the machine has provided a mechanical availability in excess of 95%.
