Fortis IBA appoint new senior hydrogeologist
Appointment of experienced geoscientist Tim Wilkins marks a key step in company’s growth strategy
FORTIS IBA Ltd, leaders in the recycling and production of incinerator bottom ash, have appointed Tim Wilkins, a geoscientist with 15 years’ experience and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, as their new senior hydrogeologist.
After completing a master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Mr Wilkins went on to specialize in groundwater quality risk assessments and has worked for almost a decade in the waste-management sector.
At Fortis IBA, his primary role will be to ensure that every site that incinerator bottom ash (IBA) aggregate is supplied to is suitable for its use and that Fortis maintain the highest environmental standards.
Mr Wilkins will be working alongside researchers, regulators, industry and other stakeholders to continue the development of IBA aggregate assessments, processes and regulation.
