Flexco introduce new medium-duty secondary cleaner
New FMS cleaner features a robust design and provides high-quality cleaning performance
FLEXCO have launched their new FMS medium-duty secondary cleaner as part of their complete line of belt-cleaning products. The simple yet durable design of the cleaner is said to provide superior cleaning performance at an affordable price.
Made of heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant powder coating, the FMS cleaner is suitable for use on conveyors with belt speeds of up to 1,000ft/min (5m/sec) and can be used for belt widths ranging from 450mm to 1,800mm, with additional sizes available on request.
The thin hard edges of the 150mm wide metal blades deliver high cleaning efficiency and long wear life, while the spring tensioner ensures that there is consistent blade-to-belt interaction and constant pressure on the belt. Impact-resistant C-Tip tungsten carbide blades are also available for use with Flexco mechanical splices.
‘The spring cushion allows the C-tips to move away from a passing splice without damage and with minimal cleaning disruption,’ said Ryan Grevenstuk, senior product manager for Flexco. ‘V-tips for use with vulcanized belts are also available on the FMS unit.’
When combined with the MSP standard mine-duty precleaner and/or MMP medium mine-duty precleaner, the FMS system provides optimal cleaning for tough applications.
