Finning secure new Irish head office

Ireland’s newly appointed Cat dealer opens new headquarters and service operation in Co. Dublin

NEW Irish Caterpillar dealers Finning have completed a deal to secure their new head office and service operation in the region. The company’s new 2,160 sq m facility at Greenogue Business Park in Rathcoole, County Dublin, will house offices and a fully equipped state-of-the-art service operation, capable of supporting customers needs throughout the region.

Having been based in the previous Caterpillar dealer head office since their acquisition of the dealership in 2010, Finning has secured the new facility in close proximity to provide a simple transition for customers.

Commenting on the deal, Finning’s managing director, Neil Dickinson said: ‘Securing our new base of operations in Ireland was a top priority when we acquired the dealership last year. We wanted to make sure we had a facility that was fit for purpose and that could support the service and maintenance needs of customers using Caterpillar equipment in Ireland.

‘From a practical point of view, in addition to office accommodation, our new head office will house all of the service and maintenance equipment you would expect, including service pits supported by a 30-tonne gantry crane, enabling us to deal with some of the larger Caterpillar plant used in the region.’

With the addition of the new facility, Finning say they are well placed to service the whole of Ireland, with three facilities located in: Tivoli, Cork; Lisburn, Co. Antrim; and Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.
