Extreme pull-wire switch from Steute

Company redesigns its ZS 71 emergency pull wire switch for use in demanding adverse conditions
STEUTE have fundamentally redesigned their successful ZS 71 emergency pull-wire switch to provide customers with an ‘Extreme’ version for use in demanding adverse conditions where dust, dirt and dampness are prevalent.
One of the modifications is effective sealing of the device by replacing metal with high-quality plastic as the enclosure material, making it suitable for long-term use in corrosive environments. Another change is a stainless steel draw gear; the mounting screws are also made from stainless steel.
Further optimization of the switch’s construction means the ZS 71 Extreme can even be exposed to a high-pressure cleaner without any detrimental effect to its long-term functionality, as recognized by its categorization in protection class IP 69K.
Another variant, in protection class IP 67, that is able to withstand temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees C is also available.
The safety features of the ZS 71 Extreme include integrated pulling and tearing monitoring of the wire, which can be up to 35m long. The device’s compact design allows it to be integrated in existing constructions, even in very narrow locations.
