ESAB's Demobus proves a success

ESAB and Truflame Welding showcased latest welding and cutting products at Hillhead 2012

The ESAB Demobus proved a great success at this year's Hillhead Exhibition for the quarrying and recycling industry, held in Buxton. ESAB, in conjunction with UK distributor Truflame Welding Equipment, showcased their latest welding and cutting products on the Demobus. Live welding demonstrations and  multimedia presentations were also used to great effect.   

Terry Askham, director of Truflame, was delighted with the impact that the Demobus made: 'We had a small presence at the previous Hillhead show, but this time the Demobus really helped to underline ESAB's position as a world leader in welding and cutting equipment in terms of the technology and the breadth of the product range.'

There was interest in all aspects of the ESAB range with Truflame taking orders for products as diverse as Origo Tech welding safety helmets, protective footwear and Buddy Arc welding power sources. Some 500 quarry operators and other users of welding equipment visited the ESAB Demobus over the three days of the exhibition and to also find out about the new OrigoMig 4004i/5004i, a multi process MIG/MAG/MMA/TIG machine.  

Based in Newhall Road, Sheffield, Truflame aim to cater for all welding needs with their wide range of ESAB welding, plasma cutters, electrodes, gas equipment and ancillary equipment. 'Hillhead was a real team effort between Truflame and ESAB,' continued Terry. 'There are lots of enquiries to follow up and the ESAB Demobus was a major contributing factor to the success of the exhibition for us. We will definitely do this again.'

The ESAB Demobus travels around Europe throughout the year to showcase live welding demonstrations and a display of welding equipment, as well as cutting products.
