EPC-UK to provide initial ADR Driver Training courses

EPC-UK ADR Drive Training Course

Company offering full Class 1 Explosives Course incorporating 35 hours of DCPC periodic training

STRENGTHENING their commitment to preparing the next generation of competent drivers, EPC-UK have expanded their training offering to include the ADR Driver Training Specialist Class 1 Explosives Course, incorporating the full 35 hours of DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) periodic training which will be required by JAUPT (Joint Approvals for Periodic Training) by 2019.

Through the five-and-a-half-day ADR course, EPC-UK, one of the market leaders in the transportation of petroleum chemicals and explosives, will share their extensive industry expertise, helping to ensure attendees meet the regulatory requirements whilst maintaining the highest levels of business competence.

Covering all aspects specified by CDG (Carriage of Dangerous Goods), the course will be run from EPC-UK’s state-of-the-art Learning and Development Centre in the East Midlands, whilst content will be delivered through relevant and engaging presentations, as well as demonstrations on how this newly acquired knowledge can be practically applied, providing clients with an interactive and cost-effective compliance training programme.

Ben Williams, managing director of EPC-UK, explained: ‘Safeguarding the safety of drivers of dangerous goods is essential. However, the introduction of this new legislation means it is now even more imperative for both drivers and company owners alike to ensure they have the correct training and qualifications.’

Thanks to their membership of and accreditation with the National Logistics Training Consortium, together with their purpose-designed Learning and Development centre in Alfreton, EPC-UK are now able to provide a wide range of training courses, including ADR training with the full 35-hour period requirement.

‘This offer places EPC-UK at the forefront as an ADR course provider. It also allows us to continue to support the industry through the high standard of training for which we are known, helping to create a culture of safety and integrity within the sector,’ added Mr Williams.

EPC-UK were awarded their accreditation by JAUPT, SQA and the National Logistics Consortium in December 2015. The accreditation process involved a detailed review and analysis of administration, management and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice, ensuring the best possible training experience is delivered to clients.
