Call for papers at next September’s Extractive Industry Geology Conference at the University of Hull

EXTRACTIVE Industry Geology (EIG) Conferences are inviting presentations on the latest professional practice or experiences in the extractive industries in the UK and abroad to be given at the next conference at the University of Hull from 3–5 September 2024.

Session themes might include, but are not limited to:

  • Case studies, especially quarry designs including Biodiversity Net Gain provision

  • Resource development, including transition minerals or modified feedstock for the production of lower carbon products

  • Geothermal or other renewable use of old mines and quarries

  • Early years professionals’ presentation session

  • Back to Basics training workshop on aspects of professional practice perhaps not taught at university.

Presentations are typically of 20–25 minutes’ duration. Suggestions or abstracts can be submitted to: [email protected]
