DustScan MD moves to become chairman
Professor Geoffrey Walton to become chairman in 2016 with Phil Battye taking over as managing director
GEOFFREY Walton, current managing director of DustScan, is to become chairman of the firm in 2016. The dust consultancy and dust-monitoring firm has recently appointed Phil Battye as deputy managing director and he will take over as managing director next year.
Mr Battye (pictured), a chartered engineer with experience in the design and manufacture of air-quality and pollution-monitoring equipment, joins DustScan from Enviro Technology plc where he was general manager.
Prof. Walton, who is also a director of the Extractive Industry Geology (EIG) Conferences, took DustScan out of GWP in 2004, having previously been the senior partner in GWP which he set up in 1973.
