Doosan send equipment to Philippines disaster
South Korean manufacturer sending excavators and a wheel loader to help with relief effort
DOOSAN Infracore Construction Equipment are to provide five DX225LCA excavators and a M200 wheel loader, in co-ordination with the Korean Red Cross, to disaster-stricken areas in the Philippines after the extensive damage caused by typhoon ‘Haiyan’.
The company has also donated US$300,000 to the disaster relief efforts.
Doosan Group have offered construction equipment and financial aid in the past, including: the 2008 earthquake in Sichuan, China; 2010 earthquake in Haiti; and 2011 earthquake in Japan, to help the afflicted areas recover from disaster damage.
