Company sees construction equipment sales jump by 20% in emerging markets such as Nepal and Malaysia

DOOSAN Infracore have emerged as the leader in Nepal’s construction equipment market, with their market share soaring to around 20%.

Doosan’s have seen their market share in Nepal rocket in just two years, rising from 5% in 2015 to around 20% at the end of 2017, largely due to the company’s efforts to enhance its sales capabilities in the country.

Since 2015, Nepal has attracted a huge amount of overseas funds for infrastructure construction projects, and the country’s demand for construction equipment has increased from around 100 machines in 2015 to more than 1,400 in 2017, making it one of the fastest-growing construction equipment markets in the region.

A spokesperson for Doosan Infracore said the company’s construction equipment sales in emerging markets such as Nepal, Hong Kong and Malaysia rose by 20% in 2017, compared with the same period the previous year.

He added that construction equipment sales also increased in the Middle East and Latin America in 2017, reversing the trend of weak sales, with the prospects for 2018 onward looking even more positive.
