EMPI Awards Occupational Competence Assessment set for fresh rebrand

EMPI Awards’ Occupational Competence Assessment (OCA) of skills, knowledge, experience, and other qualities for mobile plant and processing operations will receive a rebrand and sit within the award-winning Site Vehicle Competence Assessment (SVCA) scheme.

Gavin Brain, EMPI Awards’ responsible officer, commented: ‘It makes good business and marketing sense to align all the competence assessments and training that we offer and accredit, under one clear, unambiguous brand.

‘The SVCA will continue to maintain the highest levels of competence assessment based on National Occupational Standards for off-road quarry vehicles, plant, and specialist highway haulage and transport vehicles.’

He continued: ‘We have been working together with MinTrain to develop the Site Vehicle Competency Assessment [SVCA], which will keep the message clear and simple, with one assessment scheme that meets the highest operational standards and industry recognition.’
