CEMCO introduce new industrial tile recycling plant
Latest 30 tonnes/h portable unit also designed to process other aggregate materials
CEMCO Inc., have launched a new portable recycling plant as a zero-waste solution for crushing stockpiles of unused tiles into a fine product.
The entire system, mounted on a custom trailer for convenient hauling, can be fully operational within an hour of arriving at a jobsite. And CEMCO work closely with companies to customize plant designs to suit a variety of materials recycling applications.
The tile recycling plant has been designed around the company’s Turbo 54 vertical-shaft impact (VSI) crusher capable of processing a variety of aggregates and industrial minerals. The efficient and highly productive VSI unit handles material as large as 2in and uses centrifugal force with stationary anvils to crush it along natural stress lines into a uniform, cubical, high-quality product.
The 250hp closed-circuit plant also includes: a primary crusher; a dust collection system; a triple-deck inclined vibratory screen; and a vibratory feeder. A 500kW generator powers the equipment for mobile flexibility.
‘This plant is absolutely one-of-a-kind,’ said Jennifer Hise, vice president of CEMCO. ‘A customer approached us looking for a portable option for tile recycling. By adapting the plant’s components to fit on the relatively compact surface of a single trailer, we eliminated the need to transport the equipment separately and reconfigure the plant at each site. This saves time and money – it’s a concept we adjust and adapt to suit other companies needing portable solutions for industrial recycling.’
At 12ft wide and almost 15ft high, the plant is mounted on a custom 65ft quad-axle trailer with self-leveling hydraulic jacks for easy setup. CEMCO specifically designed and built the trailer to meet Department of Transportation specifications.
Designed for a single product output, the plant is capable of running with a 50-75 tonne/h feed rate and a 30 tonnes/h output at 6 mesh. The plant can crush to 20 mesh, although at a slower output rate. Changing screen sizes expands the plant’s capabilities to crush other industrial materials or aggregates.
Manufactured at CEMCO’s Balen facility in New Mexico, the US, the portable tile recycling plant is built to meet all OSHA and MSHA safety standards.
