CEA industry showcase at BIS
Association to highlight the importance of the construction equipment industry to the UK economy
The CEA (Construction Equipment Association) will be presenting a UK construction equipment industry showcase at the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) headquarters at One Victoria Street, Westminster SW1, from 14–25 May 2012, to underline how important the industry is to Britain’s economy.
The construction equipment industry is one of the UK’s most dynamic sectors and contributes £8.5 billion to the UK economy each year. Moreover, the UK is the second largest net exporter of construction equipment in the world with over 75% of products manufactured in the UK being exported to 150 countries worldwide.
The showcase will be promoted by Mark Prisk MP, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise, who will be attending the showcase on Wednesday 16 May to talk to participating companies.
Companies with machinery and equipment on display at the showcase will include Caterpillar/Perkins, CESAR/Datatag, JCB, Nylacast, Taylor Construction Plant (TCP), Terex and Komatsu. The exhibits, all of which are manufactured in the UK, will demonstrate excellence in engineering, innovation and environmental qualities.
