CCC Waste purchase new Terex Finlay inclined screen

Terex Finlay 694+ inclined screen

Terex Finlay 694+ helps waste haulage firm reduce its fuel usage and costs

FINLAY Central have supplied a Terex Finlay 694+ inclined screen to CCC Waste at their Kirkby site, which is one of four depots the contractor has across Merseyside and the surrounding areas. Thanks to the machine’s versatility and dual capabilities, it is helping CCC Waste to save up to 20% on fuel expenditure.

The new machine – which produces up to four products in one pass – has a new triple-deck screen configuration with three full-sized 20ft x 5ft screens, as well as an innovative hydraulically controlled fourth conveyor. This ensures simple adjustment with variable tilt for the stockpiling of finished material.

The Terex Finlay 694+ is powered by a Cat 4.4 diesel engine that produces 97kW (130hp) and, according to Finlay Central, delivers first class production levels, quick set-up time and a user-friendly operation. The screen is fed 100mm crushed material, which, in turn, produces: 100–40mm; 20mm; 10mm; and fines products. These are distributed to CCC Waste’s customers in the construction sector.

The 694+ is also working in tandem with an existing Terex Finlay J-1175+ jaw crusher, to crush waste material before it can be fed through the triple-deck screen to produce pipe bedding materials. The new machine is the second 694+ that CCC Waste have purchased from Finlay Central.

Sean Munroe of CCC Waste commented: ‘We trialled other machines before we decided on the Terex 694+, but none of them achieved the same results. The main reason we wanted this plant was to help us produce as many products in one pass as possible, which the inclined screen does very well.’
