Breedon partner with Neighbourly

Partnership with award-winning giving platform allows company to deliver new volunteering programme

BREEDON Group plc have announced a new partnership with Neighbourly, an award-winning giving platform that connects companies and their people to more than 30,000 local good causes to make a positive impact.

As part of Breedon’s focus on making a material difference in their local communities, employees are able to positively impact in the areas in which they live and work. One of the many ways Breedon enables this is through local volunteering programmes that support good causes that protect the environment, increase social mobility, and promote mental health and well-being.

The new partnership with Neighbourly will also give employees access to the platform’s reporting programme, so they can better understand the impact of their volunteering activities in their local areas.

Caroline Roberts, group people director at Breedon Group, said: ‘We’re delighted to be partnering with Neighbourly to support our volunteering programme. We want to encourage our people’s involvement with their communities and as such, we offer colleagues one day’s leave each year which they can use for volunteering.

‘Our partnership with Neighbourly means we can now offer colleagues a wider range of opportunities and the flexibility to easily find volunteering activities that match their own skills and passions. We can also effectively measure and understand the impact we are having, so we can be sure we are delivering social value and increasing employee engagement.’

Steve Butterworth, chief executive officer of Neighbourly, said: ‘We’re delighted to be working with Breedon on their new volunteering programme. Neighbourly is helping make it easy for colleagues at Breedon to participate in available opportunities to benefit the local community.

‘We’re looking forward to helping Breedon’s colleagues connect and build relationships with causes that they care about, in and around the locations where they operate.’
