Boral announce chief financial officer change
Stefan Camphausen appointed as new CFO after Belinda Shaw provides notice of resignation
BORAL Ltd have announced that Belinda Shaw, chief financial officer, has resigned and provided notice from her position.
Ms Shaw said: ‘After considerable reflection, I have made a decision that is in the best interest of my young family. I am proud of my contribution to Boral and am grateful to Vik for his support and understanding. I would like to thank my peers and the board for the opportunity to be part of Boral’s ‘Good to Great’ journey and I am committed to ensuring a seamless and successful CFO transition.’
Vik Bansal, chief executive officer and managing director, said: ‘Over the past couple of months, we have assisted and explored various options to keep Belinda at Boral. I appreciate that this decision was very difficult and while I’m disappointed, I fully support and respect her decision. I wish her well in her future endeavours.
‘Meanwhile, I am pleased to confirm that Stefan Camphausen will join Boral as chief financial officer. I welcome Stefan to Boral and look forward to working with him.’
Mr Camphausen is an experienced executive and has a considerable background as a CFO of complex industrial organizations in Australia and in Europe, leading large finance teams. His most recent role is as CFO of Bapcor, an ASX-listed firm.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Camphausen said: ‘I am very excited to be joining Boral and look forward to working with Vik, the board and leadership team to build on the early momentum from the Good to Great strategy.’
Mr Camphausen is expected to join Boral by July 2024 at the latest, with his exact start date yet to be confirmed. Ms Shaw will continue as CFO until he joins Boral.
