Bonfiglioli expand compact AC drive range
New ACU 7 drive offers improved performance in medium and heavy-duty applications
BONFIGLIOLI, specialist manufacturers of gearboxes, gearmotors and drive systems, have added to their proven Active Cube inverter series with the introduction of the Active Cube 7 (ACU 7) compact drive controller featuring an improved power range of 160kW or 200kW with water cooling.
Designed for use with a 400V supply, the 160kW ACU 7 converter offers a high power density of 2kW/cu dm, while the 200kW water-cooled version achieves a power-density value of 2.5kW/cu dm.
According the Bonfiglioli, the improved ACU 7 drives are particularly suitable for medium and heavy-duty applications in industries such as material handling, mining and road construction.
As well as the well known Bonfiglioli features, the new ACU 7 inverter solutions offer further options such as a control feature with 32 PLC function blocks and 16 variables, as well as several feedback sensors.
In addition, a wide range of digital and analog outputs and inputs, including PTC, PT100 or KTY temperature sensors, are available.
The standard communication protocol portfolio (Profinet, Ethernet IP, EtherCAT, VABus/TCP, CANopen etc) is also available, whilst the integrated ‘Safe Torque Off’ safety function comes as a standard feature of ACU 7 inverters.
