Atlas Copco expand distribution network in China
ATLAS Copco have announced plans to expand their distribution network in South East Asia, with a SEK53 million (£5 million) investment in a new facility in Nanjing, China.
The 4,000 sq m distribution centre (with a option to extend by a further 4,000 square metres) forms a key part of a strategy to strengthen the company’s customer support services in the Asian market. The centre will supply spare parts and new equipment to customers in the region.
The Nanjing location was chosen because of the city’s logistical advantages and proximity to Atlas Copco’s production facilities in the area. Bjorn Rosengren, business area president for the Construction and Mining Technique division, said: ‘The new distribution centre shows our strong commitment to customers in the region and represents another step in our ambition to further develop the business.’
