Atlas Copco acquire Hartl Anlagenbau GmbH
Atlas Copco enter mobile crushing and screening market with purchase of Austrian Powercrusher manufacturer
ATLAS Copco have strengthened their offering in the areas of quarrying and recycling with the acquisition of Austrian firm Hartl Anlagenbau GmbH, manufacturers of the Powercrusher range of mobile crushing and screening machines, for an undisclosed sum.
Atlas Copco Powercrusher will offer a broad range of track-mounted mobile units, covering jaw, impact and cone crushers with capacities ranging from 200–500 tonnes/h, and screeners with capacities from 200–400 tonnes/h.
Andreas Malmberg, president of Atlas Copco’s Surface Drilling Equipment division, said: ‘The Powercrusher product line complements our current product offering and makes us an even more complete partner. Our customers will benefit from having the same supplier for drill rigs, breakers, road construction equipment as well as mobile crushers and screeners.’
Goran Johansson, vice-president of marketing for the Surface Drilling Equipment division, added: ‘The features of these products fit very well with the benefits we give our drill rig customers. The current generation of Powercrushers combines a straightforward design and user-friendliness with long-term reliable performance.
To date, the majority of sales of Powercrusher products have been in the US, Russia and Western Europe.
