Arc Gen Hilta pumps up the action at Hillhead 2010
Arc Gen Hilta is taking the plungeand exhibiting at this year's Hillhead 2010 exhibition.
Over the last two years, the company has extended its product range to address theneeds of the quarrying industry.
On stand E10 visitors will havea taste of the range on offer, including pumps, lighting towers andgenerators.
Chief executive Mark Hodgkins said: 'We are looking forwardto showing off the breadth and quality of our products. In particular we arekeen to demonstrate how the superior build quality that they have provides thebedrock for their reliability and longevity, and also how they suit theconditions commonly encountered in the quarrying and mining industries.
'Recently we have broadened our pump range having become theUK distributor for BBA Pumps, a company whohas a first class reputation for innovation, build quality and reliability.'
Arc Gen Hilta will be showcasing the full range of dieselcentrifugal units and submersible units, built to a very high specificationallowing optimum performance in silted water.
The unitsrange from a 2in residue pump to a high head discharge pump of 8in - capable ofdealing with solid content - all of which can be addressed to a wide variety ofapplications.
Also onshow will be a full range of towable, super silent units for dewatering from 3into 12in, which are complimented by solids handling capabilities of over 120mmwhich reduces downtime.
For deepquarrying operations, the company's high head, high flow units with heads of18bar at flows of over 600m/3 per hour will take to the stand. These units can be supplied fully canopiedand super silent or as open sets. Withlong running internal tanks and float control, not only is the operator's timereduced, but so is fuel consumption saving both money and CO2 emissions.
To meet thepower needs of the industry Arc Gen Hilta will also be introducing two newgenerators by leading Japanese manufacturer Denyo - the 200 and 400kva units.
Mark added: 'The Denyo generator is well known throughout the world for the quality of itsbuild, its outstanding reliability and its constancy of output under exactingand challenging conditions.
'They haveleading fuel consumption performance ratings and durability in harshconditions. We are delighted to be able to introduce these generators into theexisting Denyo range which covers power outputs from 6kva upwards available inthe UK.'
Finally, shiningthe spotlight on stand E10 will be Arc Gen Hilta's Vertitower which is thebrightest, lightest and narrowest of its type available on the Europeanmarket.
It features a 360 degree rotating lamp head with telescopic mast forquick and easy operation with a built-in drum for convenient storage of thepower cable.
It also has a compact trailer and features a seven section lighting mastwhich telescopes and retracts vertically to a maximum height of 9m.
The potential for accidental liquid spills has also been reduced thanksto an integrated bunded tray and remote oil drain. This makes the unit ideal for use inenvironmentally sensitive areas and helps protect against costly clean-upexpenses and regulatory fines.
