Health and Safety Manager - Sutton Coldfield
H D Ricketts Ltd, established in 1964, is a leading supplier of sand and gravel in the West Midlands. With a strong fleet of over 100 FORS Gold tippers, grabs, and curtain-sided trailers, the company serves major names in the building industry and contributes to significant construction projects across the region. The company has 3 sites in the area with focuses on quarrying, recycling material, waste disposal, and packaging of aggregates.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Health and Safety Manager located in Sutton Coldfield, but holding responsibility over the 3 sites. The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing all health and safety operations over the sites, conducting inductions and safety training for both quarry operatives and drivers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Rate of pay negotiable based on experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH certification
- Experience managing Health and Safety in a Quarry Environment
- MPQC Level 4 Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental Management (SHE)
- Experience in developing and implementing safety programs
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Other related relevant Health and Safety qualifications.
