Terex MPE unveil four new machines
New Terex Finlay units introduced to customers and dealers at annual conference and product demonstration event
More than 300 international dealers, together with customers from in excess of 60 countries worldwide, witnessed the launch of four new Terex Finlay mobile crushing and screening machines at Terex Mobile Processing Equipment’s annual four-day business conference and product demonstration event, held recently in Ireland.
During the conference sessions at the Slieve Russell Hotel, in Co. Cavan, guests were also introduced to Terex MPE’s new business structure, business strategy and key focus areas for the coming year. Product development projects were also outlined and the product implications with regard to Tier 4 engine regulations were highlighted.
The product demonstrations took place at Clarke’s Quarry, in Lisnaskea, Northern Ireland, where the four new Terex Finlay models – the J-1480 tracked jaw crusher; the C-1550 tracked cone crusher; the 694+ inclined four-way-split screen; and the I-130RS impact crusher with detachable sizing screen and recirculation system – lined up alongside other machines from the company’s existing product range.
Terex Finlay J-1480
Incorporating the Terex Jaques single-toggle jaw crusher, which offers a throughput capacity of up to 700 tonnes/h depending on the application and material, the J-1480 is available with direct drive for improved fuel efficiency and greater power utilization, or hydrostatic drive which offers reversible operation for clearing blockages in demolition applications. The machine’s 10m3 hopper has hydraulically folding sides and a hydraulic wedge-clamp system, providing a safer working environment and faster machine set-up times. The machine features a vibrating pan feeder linked to an aggressive, independently driven pre-screen for optimum separation of dirt, fines and difficult materials. Key features include:
- Terex Jaques jaw with fully hydraulic adjustable closed-side setting.
- Hydrostatic and direct-drive systems with advanced electronic control.
- 10m3 hopper capacity. Optional hopper side extensions are also available.
- Independent vibrating pan and screen.
- Selectable discharge to bypass conveyor or main conveyor.
- Cat C13 power unit.
Terex Finlay C-1550
The C-1550 incorporates the Terex 1300 cone crusher with direct drive. The machine features a pre-screen system with an 8ft x 5ft single-deck screen and 1,200mm belt to remove fines, thereby improving cone capacity, product flexibility and liner wear. The pre-screen can produce a roadbase product from the side conveyor, which can be fitted on either side. The cone itself features variable speed, a tramp relief system and ‘on the fly’ closed-side setting. The 8m3 hopper/feeder has an automatic metal-detection and purge system to protect the cone and reduce downtime by allowing the removal of metal contaminants from the feed belt at the touch of a button. Key features include:
- Terex1300 cone crusher.
- Fully hydraulic closed-side setting adjustment.
- Direct drive through fluid coupling.
- Hydraulic tramp relief system.
- Automatic metal-detection and purge system.
- 8m3 hopper capacity as standard.
Terex Finlay 694+
The 694+ tracked screen features a 20ft x 5ft triple-deck inclined screen, giving a large screening area of 300ft2 to provide efficient screening and high capacity. The screenbox features quick wedge tensioning, access holes and a bottom-deck hydraulic-tensioning system to reduce the time required for mesh changes. All four discharge conveyors are adjustable and fold hydraulically for transport. The fourth product (‘oversize plus’) conveyor offers variable tilt and side slew to accurately discharge material for recirculation and stockpiling. Key features include:
- 8m3 hopper capacity.
- Triple-deck inclined screen – all decks 20ft x 5ft.
- Total screening area of 300ft2.
- Screen angle adjustment from 18–30°.
- Deutz TCD2012 diesel engine.
- Four on-board hydraulically folding conveyors.
Terex Finlay I-130RS
The I-130RS tracked impact crusher incorporates a Terex Cedarapids 1313 impact chamber with hydrostatic drive and advanced electronic control system. The machine also features a quickly detachable 14ft x 5ft single-deck screen for sizing and recirculating oversize material back to the crushing chamber. The 9m3 hopper features a variable-speed pan feeder and independent pre-screen with constant rev/min for optimum separation, even if feeder speed is reduced. Key features include:
- Terex Cedarapids IP1313 impact chamber (three- or four-bar rotor).
- Direct drive via fluid-coupling V-belts.
- Hydraulically assisted apron settings.
- 9m3 hopper capacity.
- Selectable discharge to bypass or main conveyor.
- Recirculating system for oversize material.
- Quick-detach sizing screen.
