ZF make changes to their DriveCentre network
ZF Great Britain Ltd, specialists in truck and off-highway transmissions, are to change their after-sales and service network following the company’s decision to terminate their agreement with the Hindle Group, who operated ZF DriveCentres in southern and north-east England, and Scotland. Instead, Hindle’s former territories will be transferred to ZF’s other UK service partners.
With effect from 1 August 2004 Ecodrive Transmissions Ltd of Walkden, near Manchester, will cover the whole of northern England, North Wales and Scotland, while Powertrain Products Ltd of Willenhall in the West Midlands will be responsible for the southern counties of England and South Wales.
ZF say the changes mean that customers in all former Hindle territories will continue to be offered the full range of support services from a local factory-approved ZF DriveCentre. The changes will not affect service support operations in the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland, which will continue to be handled by Adtec Aerauto of Gibbstown near Navan in Co. Meath.
In line with their enlarged DriveCentre agreements, Ecodrive and Powertrain have already expanded their customer-support teams with the addition of new workshop personnel and regionally based mobile service technicians, and both companies say they expect to announce the opening of new regional branches in the coming months.
