Sustainability manager Stephanie Palmer invited to join edie’s 30 Under 30 class of 2020

WIENERBERGER’s UK sustainability manager, Stephanie Palmer, has been invited to join edie’s 30 Under 30 class of 2020 in recognition of her work as a talented sustainability and energy professional.

edie’s 30 Under 30 is a dynamic community of young, talented sustainability and energy professionals, aged under 30, who have already achieved great things or are showing fantastic promise.

The 30 Under 30 club provides rising sustainability stars with an unrivalled opportunity to connect, share ideas and gain valuable recognition for their work.

Nominations were reviewed by a panel of independent judges, including senior representatives from the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) and Global Action Plan.

Ms Palmer (pictured) will join a group of successful nominees from companies such as OVO Energy, Unilever, Investec and Marks & Spencer.

Over the past five years Ms Palmer has led a broad range of projects, working with internal and external stakeholders to transform Wienerberger from the inside.

Her nomination highlighted her collaborative work spanning research and innovation, circular economy and waste management, political engagement, promoting women in STEM and her cross-sectoral work on the decarbonization roadmap to 2050 and more recently on plastic packaging.

Through the 30 Under 30 community, Ms Palmer will exchange ideas with sustainability professionals beyond manufacturing and construction, aiming to accelerate positive change within Wienerberger.
